Chondrovit forteChondrovit forte is a food supplement with a balanced combination of glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate, MSM and other biochemically active ingredients such as vitamins C, E, B6 and minerals like managenese, copper and selenium. These ingredients participate in cartilage metabolism and contribute to cartilage regeneration after exercise or regeneration of cartilage degraded by age. Chondrovit forte is available in a packsize of 120 tablets.

Cartilage is formed by a fibre and the basis of this fibre is glucosamine. "Bristles" (formed by axial proteins) are connected to this fibre in a fan-like style and short fibres formed by chondroitin are connected to each bristle. Chondroitin fibres are connected in a way that creates small cavities filled with synovial fluid. The cavities get smaller when the cartilage is compressed and the fluid resists the compression and the whole system can be compared to shock absorbers.

Glucosamine (C6H14NO5) is the body’s own basic compound which is formed from glucose by replacing the hydroxyl group (-OH) in the position 2 with the group - NH2. Glucosamine is incorporated into polysaccharides (glycosaminoglycans - GAG) which have various functions in the body, e.g. they bind water. Because it is the body’s own substance, it is often called “joint nutrition”. The basis of its effect lies in the fact that glucosamine can desirably affect the balance of metabolical processes occurring in the cartilage.

Chondroitin sulfate is a glycosaminoglycan present in the structures of the cartilage mass where it binds water and makes the cartilage flexible. It is a polysaccharide consisting of regularly repeating monomers glucuronate and N-acetylgalactosamine (formed from galactose or glucosamine). N-acetylgalactosamine is in its chain sulfated to a hydroxyl group in the position 4 or 6 (chondroitin 4-sulfate a chondroitin-6-sulfate). Strong negative charge osmotically binds water and makes the cartilage flexible. Chondroitin sulfate can be found in other connective tissues as well.

MSM (methylsulfonylmethan) is an organic sulfur compound to which anti inflammatory effects are ascribed.

Vitamin C contributes to normal function of the immune system, to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and to reduction of tiredness and fatique. It also contributes to collagen formation which is important for gums, skin and teeth. Vitamin C also contributes to energy metabolism, to normal psychological functions and to the functioning of the nervous system.

Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy metabolism, to the functioning of the nervous system, to normal psychological functions, to the normal metabolism of proteins and glycogen, to red blood cells formation, to regulation of hormonal activity and to the normal function of the immune system. It also reduces tiredness and fatigue.

Manganese contributes to maintenance of normal bones and to normal formation of connective tissues. Manganese also contributes to normal energy metabolism and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Copper contributes to maintenance of normal connective tissues, to pigmentation of skin and hair, to normal energy metabolism, to the normal function of the nervous system and to the transfer of iron in the body. Copper also contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Selenium contributes to normal spermatogenesis, to maintenance of normal hair and nails, to normal thyroid function, to the normal function of the immune system and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Intended use:

  • against cartilage degradation caused by age
  • stimulation of cartilage regeneration processes
  • during excessive physical activity


Children: 2 tablets a day. Adults: 2 x 2 tablets a day after eating. It is recommended to take 3 packages in 90 days to regenerate the cartilage effectively. If the joint pain reappears, it is recommended to repeat this treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Children below the age of 3 years should not use Chondrovit forte. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Chondrovit forte should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.

Adverse effects and contraindication:

Chondrovit forte contains allergens present fish (shark cartilage) and milk (lactose). Unsuitable for people suffering from lactose intolerance.
